Gettysburg
Gettysburg was fought over 3 days and was the last major battle of the Civil War. On day one the Confederate troops had to be very careful because they has no idea how many Union troops there were. At the end of the day the Northern army was pushed back. On the second day some more Union troops arrived to Gettysburg and took over the high ground (Cemetery Ridge). The Confederate troops tried to flank the Union troops but the attemp failed. On the third day of the battle the Confederate troops final attemp to stop the Union army. General Lee sent his entire force across an open field straight at the Union army. General George Pickett led the charge and many,many Confederate troops were slaughtred. In conclusin the Union army won at Gettysburg, since they won the Confederate troops couldn't continue to battle the Northern army.
